WHEN THE SKY FORGETS ITS SCRIPT

The sky has forgotten its scripted lines  It has lost its knowledge of crying  So it has remained dry  Caked like the dry red earth  Void of moisture
We are parallel lines  Legs stretched worlds apart  From your cup, I no longer drink  Your familiar cheeks I don’t kiss
A sharp dagger slug behind; just around my waistline  Who drew the battle lines? Who pulls out his own intestines? This is insanity
The heart has lost its form  It is a replica of my father’s rumpled trousers A shame to the eye  A sore to the soul  Why did this turn out so?
A body in a rift with its soul  Its all I see when I stare  I am the body  You are the soul  I feel nothing anymore  I am bewildered! Is this the seed mortals sow?

MEET AYOTUNDE SOFELA, THE FEMALE MECHANIC WHOSE HEART BEATS FOR PROPER MAINTENANCE OF CARS

Goldfishes have no hiding place, so I guess this is why Ayo could not find a hiding place either. My first contact with her was on Twitter when I was looking out for women in male-dominated industries.

I had an open mind while I was on the lookout but my thought had not given me the clue that I 'd stumble a sweet female Mechanic.

Ayotunde Sofela is a 25-year-old Mechanic from Abeokuta in Ogun state. Born and bred in the boisterous city of  Lagos and a 400 level computer science student at the National Open University (NOUN). She is the dedicated hands behind Ayomatics Garage, a young startup focused on delivering efficient, reliable, and trustworthy automobile repair, maintenance and consultation.

"I didn’t always have this passion from childhood. Like most children, I wanted to grow up to be a doctor. I think that was influenced by the fact that I spent my childhood days in the midst of medical practitioners. When I got into a secondary school, that idea changed. I discove…

GUEST POST: DESCEND O' COMTRAITORS — KINGDAVID CHINAEKE OFUNNE

Descend O Comtraitors!
Descend o comtraitors, is the call to action
Corruption is dispensed in exponential rations
The cost of silence paid with bags of rice and salt
Our mothers and fathers bought, even the youth, their voices shut
A jewel stained, no amount of washing, cleaning
Purity is gone, not even prayers can restore healing
2019 is fast approaching, elders humbled
Remember yesterday when they left you manacled
It's always the same story, no difference
A generation almost extinct, power grabbing, a bad influence
Failed promises cancel one another
Poverty at its peak, election is closed, absence of law and order
It's the time to change history not become one
Don't give us guns this season, give us funds we no longer want to be a pun
We are Kings and queens, royalty is in our blood
We can rule as well and even better, it's time we were treated even, everything else is odd

Descend o comtraitors, it's time to answer the youthful call
The eagle indeed has landed,…

WHY YOUR FRIENDS DO WHAT THEY DO

Between kisses and hugs, laughter and frown, noise and silence we make allies and opponents. One of the greatest blessings in my life is the beautiful people that grace it with their warmth, love, advise and scoldings.

A popular saying denotes that "No man is an island." This explains that every human needs companions for the purpose of friendship, learning life lessons, companionship and creating a network.

However, in the course of time, I have come to realise that what causes strife between us as individuals is not because we totally react badly towards people or receive negative reactions. Every human in your life, regardless of what ties you have with them — Be it, families, friends, acquaintances or colleagues have a role to play. Your life is one big Blockbuster, you are just about to find out.

Understanding the position of people in your life will help you prioritise your time and understand your relationships better.

CHIOMA VANESSA : A FASHIONPRENEUR MOTIVATED BY PASSION AND CREATIVITY TO CHART A PATHWAY

Chioma was that child that will send you hiding your clothes and wrappers far away from her reach for the fear that she will tear them in shreds out of the zeal of designing and making clothes. Her first skirt was made at the age of twelve.
"Nobody taught me to sew, nobody close to me sews, I didn't even know it was a 6 pieces skirt I sewed till I finally went to a fashion school," She says with an air of humour.

"I also made bags and a pair of slippers from an old Jean material that happened to be my old skirt. My mum marveled at the thought of Jean slippers then but now we see Jean slippers everywhere." She continues.
Chioma Vanessa who prefers to go by the alias 'God's favourite daughter' is a graduate of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, an entrepreneur and the present CEO of Nessa Design and Stitches (NDS). A young Fashion and Designing outfit that not only makes great outfits but also runs mini fashion tutorials.

REASONS WHY WE SHOULD ALL BE CARELESS

One of the things I spend some of my sub-conscious time doing is playing mind-games. I usually do not believe that there is one straight road leading to a certain path, this is why I am always haunted by the quest to seek for new paths.

So I am a devoted player of the "What If game?"  As much as this game sounds exciting, the irritating part is when you try to limit yourself, your ideation will tend to lose its fluidity.

If you don't want to stand a chance of being thrashed 20 - 0 in a 'What If game,' Then you need to Just Do It like the Colin Kaepernick Nike's Ad campaign.

Trust me, it is more rewarding laughing over your folly than crying over the regret that you should have made an attempt or taken up a task because years down the lane, you will stay at a wrinkled face with grey hair and whisper "I wish I did it."

In my local dialect in Eastern Nigeria, we say "Uche na abia abia." It means that one can never be too knowledgeable. Your …

WHAT YOU DIDN'T KNOW I LIKED ABOUT YOU

So lately I was discussing with a friend. In the midst of the discussion, he wiped open his phone screen and asked: "How much do you think he is worth?" Referring to someone who passed as influential to him.

I cast my glance at him, "Nothing!" I said calmly.

"You are a joker. You mean you don't know who he is?" He asked again.

I breathed a sigh of relief with my mind made up that a response from me would never see the light of the day. There is something I secretly call the "Underground Theory."

The world and its people are so fast that if you are not cautious, you might be knocked down by the fast and trampling go-lucky people. As opposed to how any other person perceives it, my value system for your success lies in your history.

I like to believe I 'm weird or perhaps old-fashioned but this is one part about you that thrills me.
I am a firm optimist, therefore the future has no choice than to be better than yesterday.

In my head, it'…
